Why You'll Love It
Original watercolor painting of Woodland Waterfall captures a beautiful waterfall tumbling over mossy rocks on a wooded hillside at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. The best part are the purple irises growing among the ferns with the golden rocks scattered around the waterfall.
This is one of my favorite corners of the Botanical Gardens. It's so quiet and peaceful. I love exploring the terraced rhododendron hillside in early summer (see my Pink Rhododendron painting). The waterfall faces a large pond full of green frogs. I love to regress into my early childhood and see how many frogs I can count. The whole garden has a lush, sheltered quality that is deeply satisfying to paint.
This Woodland Waterfall painting would be a wonderful gift to remember a special visit to the Botanical Gardens. Pair with other Boothbay area art for your home collection.
