Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about paintings, prints, commissions, and more.
What is a giclée print?
Giclée prints are archival reproductions created from a high-resolution scan using pigment-based inks on 100% cotton paper. They capture the rich color, fine detail, and texture of the original watercolor and are designed to last for generations when displayed under glass and out of direct sunlight.
Where can I see your work in person?
The best place to see my work in person is Small Wonder Gallery at the Public Landing in Camden, Maine, where you'll usually find a selection of original watercolors and giclée prints on display.
Are the paintings / prints framed?
Original paintings and prints are sold unframed so you can choose a frame that complements your home and style. Most prints are available in standard frame sizes, with optional mats on select sizes, making framing simple.
Do you offer wholesale pricing for retailers?
Yes. I work with a select number of retailers and galleries. Please contact me for information about wholesale pricing and availability.
What size artwork should I choose?
Think about the feeling you want to create. A single large piece makes a beautiful focal point, while a gallery wall lets you tell a story with several paintings.
To visualize the overall size, tape sheets of paper to your wall before ordering. Remember to allow an extra 1-3 inches on each side for the frame. If you'd like advice, I'm always happy to help.
Do you accept commissions?
I occasionally accept commissions when the subject is a good fit for my style and schedule. If you have a special Maine place or meaningful idea in mind, I'd be happy to hear about your project.
Are your prints made in Maine?
Yes! Every giclée print is produced by me in my Maine studio using archival materials, then carefully inspected, packaged, and shipped by hand.
Can I send artwork as a gift?
Absolutely! Artwork makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, housewarmings, and retirements. If you're sending directly to the recipient, just enter their shipping address during checkout.
