Original watercolor painting of Ladies Delight captures this charming little lighthouse on Cobbosseecontee Lake in Winthrop, Maine, surrounded by all the colors of a perfect summer day. It's one of those special elements that make a summer day on the lake feel complete.
Ladies Delight is actually the name of the ledge, with the lighthouse added later to keep boaters safe. As Maine's 65th lighthouse, it's a true hidden gem as it's on the lake rather than on the ocean.
This was such a fun painting to plan and paint. Special thanks to my friend Austin for providing the reference photos that helped bring this one to life.
