Why You'll Love It
Original watercolor painting of Windswept View captures a pair of chestnut horses grazing in a lush wildflower pasture beside a lovely farm pond with sweeping ocean views. Locals will recognize this as Holbrook's field, just past Curtis Cove Beach.
This painting was inspired by someone who grew up in the beautiful white house across from the field, which I've always admired. The horses were daytrippers, coming to graze for the day and then heading home. My favorite part of the painting is the pond. There's nothing quite like a farm pond in June when the fields are full of wildflowers. I always thought there should be a bench beside it, or a hammock down in the trees.
A Windswept View print is a thoughtful gift for someone who loves the Blue Hill peninsula. Pair with other local Maine seascapes for a curated gallery wall collection.
