Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of Sailing On Somes Sound provides a beautiful view of sailboats gliding along the peaceful waters of Somes Sound, just off Mt Desert Island, Maine.
Sargeant Drive links Northeast Harbor and Somesville, and winds along Somes Sound (a fjord). For my original painting, I wanted to show both the road and the water for perspective.
This lovely drive is another one of those hidden gems tucked away on the island. It's one of the best ways to see the fjord up close if you don't have a sailboat. It also has excellent views of Acadia's mountains on the Quiet Side. Then there are the spring waterfalls tumbling down the cliffs!
A Sailing on the Sound print would be a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Bar Harbor, Acadia, or sailing. Prints make it easy to create a memory wall to showcase your Maine adventures.
