Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of Yellow House captures this beloved local landmark in Stonington, Maine. Perched on a cliff with sweeping views of the village's working harbor and islands beyond.
The Yellow House is a favorite subject for artists and it's easy to see why. The sunny little cottage looks so cozy and inviting. I had wanted to paint it for 20 years, but couldn't seem to get the right photo. A couple of years ago, I drove by after a long day of hiking and everything was blooming, the sun was exactly right, the sky perfectly blue, the tide high - wow! I started working on my painting right away.
My favorite detail is the bedrock rising right through the lawn, leading your eye to the gorgeous lupine and roses on either side of the house. Stonington is one of Maine's prettiest villages and this view from the cliff captures exactly why. Yellow House is one of my best sellers. It just makes people happy.
Pair with other Deer Isle area prints for your a classic Maine Seascapes gallery wall.

Yellow House Print
This print is just plain beautiful...the colors are vivid and once framed, it is now a lovely addition to my home. I will enjoy the Yellow House for many years..it is very sweet!!
Lovely piece by a talented artist. A wonderful addition to my home.
This is such an incredibly beautiful painting! I absolutely adore it. Beth is an immensely talented artist and this Yellow House is probably the most cheerful painting I own. Beth paints everything - the blades of grass, the frothy Lupine, the small boats in the distance with such extraordinary precision and finesse. I especially love the brilliant sunlight and every time I look at this gorgeous work I feel as though I can step right out onto the sun drenched grass and head down to the glittering water. My husband didn't know I ordered this painting and when it came he was also enraptured by it and he tried to steal it and take it into his den! Beth is such a pleasure to work with - so courteous and helpful. ! I just ordered her Deer Isle Lupine and it's just as stunning as this one. We will definitely be back for more!
These prints are even more vibrant and lovely in person than online. I love the two that I ordered so much, that I needed to come back for more! Looking forward to collecting them over time -- the colors work so well together or separately, and they brighten any room.
This painting was even more incredible than the photo of it on Etsy reflects! It was printed on high quality paper and the colors were vibrant. I could not be happier!!!
Beautiful! Exactly what I was expecting. Such a great value!

Saw this painting and was immediately reminded of a long-ago vacation in Maine. I matted it in blue-gray with a thin strip of bright yellow and hung it in my guest bedroom. It is cheery and nostalgic. LOVE IT!
