Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of Portland Head Light captures Maine's most iconic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth with all the best elements together: Beach roses, tumbled rocks, crashing surf, and Ram Island Ledge Light sitting quietly in the distance. My original painting was specifically inspired by the roses and the way they frame the cove.
Portland Head Light looks out over Casco Bay from Fort Williams Park, which has a fascinating history all its own. This is one of the most popular places to spend a summer afternoon in the Greater Portland area. Take a picnic lunch to one of the tables dotted along the park, then walk the Cliff Walk shore trail past the lighthouse, down to Ship Cove beach, and all the way to the ruins of the Goddard Mansion. There is so much to see and do.
Prints of Portland Head Light include all of the details and vibrant colors of my original watercolor. Perfect as a wedding gift or vacation memento. Display on its own in an entryway to welcome guests or pair with other Maine Lighthouse or Seascape prints for a coastal inspired gallery wall.
