Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of Bug Light at the end of the Greenbelt Walkway in South Portland, with the brilliant blues of Casco Bay and the islands stretching beyond.
Most locals call this little beauty Bug Light because of its size, but the official name is Portland Breakwater Light. If you look closely at the top of the tower, you'll spot its curly eyelashes. Very cute. From the park benches here you can watch boats going back and forth across the harbor, catch the Portland cityscape just out of frame to the left, and spot Fort Gorges off in the distance with its flag flying proud. A favorite spot for engagements and summer weddings.
A wonderful gift for anyone who loves South Portland. Pair with a Portland Head Light print for a classic Maine lighthouse collection.
