Why You'll Love It
Original watercolor painting of Otter Cove Bridge captures the beautiful view from a small cobblestone beach tucked off a side road in Acadia National Park. This wonderful hidden gem is just five minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and almost entirely missed by visitors.
I was inspired by the beautiful colors in the rocks, which beautifully pop next to the vibrant blue water. The way the trees reflect down into the water, casting a gorgeous turquoise blue across the cove is so beautiful. My favorite detail is the small purple flowers in the lower right corner. It was one of the first things I knew I had to include in my original drawing.
If you've driven the full Park Loop Road you've actually crossed the Otter Cove bridge without knowing this beach was just around the bend. Or maybe you saw it from the causeway and wondered how to get there (as I did for a long time). I used to have my lunch here and enjoyed the solitude of the place.
This original watercolor painting A colorful, nostalgic addition to any space. Pair with other meaningful Acadia artwork for your home collection.
