Why You'll Love It

Watercolor print of Otter Cliff captures the iconic headland in Acadia National Park in the soft pink and golden light of early morning, when the granite glows and the coast is still quiet.

This painting was inspired by an early morning drive along Ocean Drive, when the light was doing something extraordinary on the rocks. There were deer across the road too, but that is a story for another painting. The wild irises and grasses in the foreground, the tumbled pink granite, the deep green pines, and the sailboat just visible on the horizon all come together in one of Acadia's most beloved views.

Other collectors have paired this with Ocean Drive, which looks back in the opposite direction toward Sand Beach. The two make a wonderful pair as they tell a story.

A beautiful addition to a vacation memory wall or any space that deserves a piece of Acadia. Pair with other Acadia National Park prints for your collection.

Original watercolor painting of Otter Cliff, Acadia National Park, Maine, with pink and golden morning light on the granite, wild irises in the foreground, and deep green pines beyond, by Beth Whitney.
