This beautiful landscape painting inspired by the hillside just below the farmhouse at Laudholm Farm in Wells, Maine. This is my favorite place to walk in Southern Maine. It's so quiet and gorgeous. Lots of wildlife, boardwalks, ferns, birds, sweeping fields milkweed and Monarch butterflies, and then the beach (yes!).
I came upon this view as I finished the Muskie Trail and instantly knew I had to paint the view here. The tower is actually 35' tall, so you get a sense of how massive the old pine beside it is.
Many people get married at Laudholm Farm, so a print would be a wonderful memento of the special day.
It's also a wonderful addition to an entryway, mudroom, or any sun-filled space, paired with other wildflower landscapes for a nature inspired gallery wall.
