Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of The Invitation captures the iconic view from the Jordan Pond House lawn in Acadia National Park. Two deep green Adirondack chairs sit side by side, looking out over the pond to The Bubbles beyond.
The chairs were positioned exactly this way in my reference photo, arms barely touching, as if they are having a quiet conversation. I loved that detail and had to keep it.
The deep blue of the pond deepens as the air cools in October, and the contrast with the brilliant red and gold foliage all around is powerful. This is one of the most beloved views in all of Acadia, and the painting earns its title.
Prints of The Invitation would beautifully remind you of a favorite vacation every day. Pair with other Acadia prints for a scenic gallery wall.
