Why You'll Love It
Watercolor print of The Bubbles captures the beloved twin mountains rising above the deep blue water of Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. Queen Anne's lace and other summer wildflowers blend in with the lush greens and blues of a perfect Maine summer day.
My inspiration was the wildflower meadow on the lower lawn of the Jordan Pond House, where the view of The Bubbles across the water is simply extraordinary. If you've been to Bar Harbor, chances are you've been here for tea and popovers.
The trail that circles Jordan Pond hugs the shoreline the whole way, crossing wooden bridges, boardwalks, and granite rocks, and it's one of the most peaceful and beautiful walks in all of Acadia. I wanted to capture that feeling of clear summer air, lush wildflowers, and the quiet presence of the Bubbles across the water.
A wonderful memento of your adventures in Maine, The Bubbles displays beautifully with any of my other Acadia prints for a themed gallery wall.
