This is one of my favorite places to go in the Midcoast! It's so beautiful, especially in the summer when the roses are blooming. For my reference photo, I got right behind the bushes to find this perspective, combining the gorgeous flowers and the column in the foreground with the lighthouse view beyond. If you stand back from the keeper's house you miss the garden entirely. Getting in close made all the difference, and I love how it turned out.
Marshall Point is also known as the Forrest Gump lighthouse because he finished his cross country run here (16 seconds of the movie - I timed it!). There are always lobster boats passing through to Port Clyde. It's perfect Maine.
