Why You'll Love It

Watercolor print of Lupine Study captures the lush purple and pink lupine that grew wild in the field behind my house in Trenton, not far from Acadia National Park.

It's a sweet, intimate painting, all soft pinks and purples against the yellowy green of the lupine leaves with a hazy summer sky beyond. Lupine pop up everywhere in Maine in June and this field is one of my favorites. Sometimes the best subjects are right outside your front door!

Lupine Study prints would be lovely in a girl's bedroom, a reading nook, or anywhere that could use a soft pop of color. Pair with other Maine seascapes for a coastal gallery wall.

Original watercolor painting of wild purple and pink lupine growing in a field near Acadia National Park, Trenton, Maine, by Beth Whitney.
