Beautiful Blueberry Hill painting showing the Schoodic portion of Acadia. This is one of the most popular stops along the loop road. The beach roses and cobblestones add romance and a little mystery as they frame the ocean view. There are loads of shorebirds all over, lobstermen checking their traps. You may even see seals offshore if you’re lucky.
The wonderful colors in this painting come from the amazing light of the day. You can see a storm starting to move in from the left horizon, which casts bright, pinky tones on the granite. It was very challenging to paint, but I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I buy an original painting or a print?
Original paintings require more of a financial investment up front, but they also appreciate more in value over time. There’s also a satisfaction in knowing you have the only original painting. Giclees are more affordable and look exactly like the original paintings, so they are a great option for many.
While many of my collectors only purchase original art, others like to mix it up with both originals and giclees. It really depends on your budget and philosophy as a collector. If you’re just looking for some pretty paintings to add color or to give as a gift, giclees are a perfect choice.
What size painting should i purchase for my space?
I recommend taping pieces of computer paper together to create a mockup the same size as your art. You can even tape it to your wall with blue framer’s tape get a sense of scale. (I also recommend this technique for gallery walls.)
When you’re thinking about the frame size, you should add an additional 4-7″ on each side to account for the mat and frame. For example, a 14×22″ painting will probably take up 24×32″ of wall space.

How accurate are the colors online?
Please note that there are variances in color on different devices. The physical art matches what I see on my computer, but it might look slightly different on yours. For example, the colors are a little more muted on my phone and tablet than on my Mac. Also keep in mind also that the smaller the image, the sharper it appears online and in person.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM FRAMING?
I don’t provide framing services myself, but I’m happy to make suggestions! My 8×12″ and 10×14″ original paintings include a double white archival mats and backing board. They are ready to slip into 12×16″ or 10×14″ frames (easy to find). Buying unframed art enables the recipient to choose a frame that perfectly matches their decor.
