You can access the beach easily from Popham Beach State Park. For this painting, I explored Fort Baldwin and walked up the beach until I reached this dramatic view. I love this bend in the beach because of how the tide shifts and waves converge. It was the most challenging part and I love how it turned out. I wish I was there right now looking for sea glass! I've painted West Quoddy Head Light five or six times and this Coastal Trail perspective is a new favorite.
